Here for info, hello all

I'm here for information on the NHBC.
I have been in the construction industry around the world for the best part of 26 years and in senior management on a freelance basis for the last 10.
I have 3 trades (my father said "you always need something to fall back on") Bricklayer, Stone Mason and Structural Engineer.
I am ICIOB, FCMI and a Black card holder, I consult as a Contracts or Project Manager and Building Inspector and I am a Professional witness.
My last completed major project won the RIBA Sterling award in 2013 so I have some experience but I'm always eager to learn more.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I have very little experience of the NHBC as my work is predominately within the historic sector. However as my sister is now looking at buying a new house on Taylor Wimpey's Crest Park site in Bradford  and I am in Taunton I thought I'd investigate Taylor Wimpey on the Internet before I travel up to survey the plot.
My research led me here as a lot of you had quite negative views toward NHBC, I wanted to understand why.

As you say, "considering my apparent experience" you may be surprised I came here, but some of the members on this site have made it their life's work to discredit the NHBC so are you so surprised that when I googled NHBC I found my way here?

I will be sure to ensure that my sister isn't foolish enough to look for information (which you claim to offer) about who from or where she should buy her next new house!

There are a lot of negative views about Taylor Wimpey too!
Perhaps you would do well to read through buyer's posts before deciding.

If you or your sister prefer not to avail yourself of the extensive information on this forum and website, all of which would be very useful to you, sobeit.
