Chobham Manor Stratford feedback
« on: October 04, 2017, 10:20:16 pm »
I'm thinking of buying a new home in the new Stratford development.

Has anyone bought in phase 1? I'm interested in your experiences. Were you pleased with the build quality? Many issues with snagging?

Taylor Wimpey has a better reputation than Persimmon and Bovis but not much better.
In the end, you will be running the lottery of whether the site managers cares or not.
Ask if he won an NHBC award this year.
Ask those that have already moved in, knock on doors if you have to.

Above all, don't use their recommended or suggested solicitors under any circumstances.
Don't move in in December, and get it written in the contract that your professional snagging inspector can have access to inspect your new home at least 2 weeks before you legally complete. If this is a problem for Taylor Wimpey, don't buy!

Check out the main brand new homes website for more tips and advice. And PLEASE, read the posts made by those that also bought Taylor Wimpey and ask yourself -  Is it really worth the risk?
