Drawings/Groundwork Drawings.
« on: November 23, 2019, 10:48:39 am »
I'm wanting to obtain a copy of my drawings/groundworks so I can check that my house and garage has everything that was supposed to be there. I'm wanting to check the ground levels, paving type around the house, plus the electricity supply to my garage and drainage.
How do I go about obtaining these?

Ask the housebuilder, you may be lucky.
Write to the ground works contractor and ask.
If the Local Authority approved the plans for building control you can inspect them at the council offices.
If not, you will only be able to see the planning drawings which might reveal what you want.

Working drawings are intellectual property and housebuilders are not required to provide copies of them.

Thanks for that. I`ll try those options. Although Winchester council building control has not bothered to answer my last email.
