The Queen approaching fuel poverty
« on: November 02, 2011, 10:27:09 am »
The Queen is close to becoming one of the 4 million in fuel poverty.
Fuel poverty being classed as spending 10% or more of your income on energy.

Apparently the Queen's palaces gave the Royal household a bill for energy of £2.2 million in 2010.11 royal accounts, which equates to 6.9% of the monarchy's £32.1million total income from the government. Any further energy prices rises could push the Queen over the 10% threshold into "fuel poverty"

£2.2 million for energy!   They must leave the windows open and the heating on.
Either that or they need the insulation upgrading!
