Spare a thought for the poor super rich
« on: January 11, 2012, 11:50:27 am »
Protests against income inequality are big news, with the occupy movements worldwide.
But spare a thought for the poor billionaire working a 60-80 hour week. He can buy very little that the less well-off middle-class can also afford.

Why bother with a £1000 ticket for the FA cup final Wembley when you can watch it on your £900 50-inch flat screen TV in the comfort of your leather electric reclining chair.
Why buy a McLaren sports car for £170,000 when you can sit in the same traffic jam or drive at 70mph on the same roads in a £22,000 Peugeot 508.
Even a private jet is hardly worth the cost when you can travel in relative luxury anywhere you want to for £1000 with your every whim catered for.
The poor old billionaire is finding he is working all these extra hours but cannot now find anything that differentiates himself from the hoi polloi masses
