Brick Colour Variation Across House
« on: July 24, 2021, 02:45:26 pm »
Currently in the process of buying a new Keepmoat Homes build, we've recently received photos of the house upclose without scaffolding. We immediately noticed 4 visable bands around the house of bricks that don't appear to have been mixed from different batches, rather all come from the same batch.

An image showing the 4 bands has been attached.

Just wondered if there was anything we could do to raise this with the site manager to get this issue resolved? What would the best outcome be?

Many thanks.

This is pretty bad!
The best and only outcome you can get is the bricks to be tinted in the reduce the colour variation between the different lifts of brickwork.  This shows a complete lack of care and a scant inspection regime if any.

I would insist on having this home professionally snagged and inspected BEFORE you legally complete and ensure all defects (there will be plenty!) are sorted before you move in.

Make a nuisance of yourself now not after you have moved in and Keepmoat have your money.
"The squeaky wheel gets the oil"  In your case, you will have the site's better tradesmen working in your home if you complain early and set out what you will not accept.
