The Home Builders Federation Spin PR Statements.
« on: March 13, 2017, 08:51:34 am »
You would thinbk the Home Builders Federation would vary their Pr statements when trying to defend housebuilders and mitigate badly built new homes!

The Home Builders Federation said:
Quote
"The overwhelming majority of new home buyers are happy with their purchase. In the small percentage of instances where there are issues builders will look to address them in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the customer."

The HBF  says the "reported problems with new-builds are isolated incidents."

Spokesman, Steve Turner, says:
Quote
"When you are building tens of thousands of any product, let alone something as complex as a house, outside, in all weathers, there are inevitably going to be a small number of cases where there are issues. The industry works hard to ensure it addresses such issues when they arise. Overwhelmingly, the buyers of new homes are happy with their purchases."

They like playing the built outside in all weathers card. The reality as anyone in the industry will tell you is when the weather is bad work outside stops.  Bricklayers cannot lay bricks in the rain or low temperatures.
On "proper" construction projects such as schools, hotels, office blocks, hospitals etc quality and standards are nuch higher and most of the time the projects are handed over to the client either on time or early!
