Hello. I've just happened to come across this excellent website.

In July we will move into our new Bellway home although I gather a lot of people are against new homes we have been very impressed with the service we've received up to now.
One positive experience was despite being asked to exchange contracts within 7 weeks this was delayed because the buyers of our current home were dragging their feet. Anyway despite a delay of 8 weeks Bellway did not hassle us in any way and we've now exchanged without any penalties.

Get your home independently snagged and inspected and don't use their suggested solicitor.
If you have, change to another firm of your choice.

House builders tend to bend over backwards right up until you move in.
When you see your "finished" home, that's when you find out how "good" they are!

Thank you for your advice.
We are using a solicitor of our choice and he has been excellent to be honest.
Although we were delayed in exchanging contracts, through no fault of his or us he kept in touch with Bellway regularly and saved us a lot of hassle. We've been very impressed with him up to now. The advice of a professional snagger we will definitely take on board. Thanks for that.
