Have I Been Mis-Sold?
« on: April 03, 2021, 05:13:57 pm »
I bought an off-plan new build property on a new housing development, and was informed that we would have remote controlled security gates to our car park, and also a Concierge service.
The House Builders have now decided against those two points, which has annoyed me, as being a single woman, the gated car park was a reassuring aspect.  Do I have any chance of asking for some type of compensation?

Yes you probably have been mis sold. Yes they should have informed you before you legally completed.
Yes gated car parks are more secure, and may reduce car insurance premiums.
It is not compensation you should be seeking, but having the gate fitted.

As for the concierge service this would be paid for by you so you are saving money not having it.
