£50 million welfare cost for EU migrant's Children
« on: February 16, 2013, 11:26:47 am »
Scandal of £50 million welfare sent to  EU migrant's children living abroad.
Labour failed to impose transitional controls after eight new member states joined the EU in 2004.
This resulted in an influx of nearly one million Poles and other eastern Europeans over a seven-year period.
Around 7% of migrants are on benefits.
This at a time when most UK born citizens cannot even get benefit in the first place, are having their benefits cut, or qualifying rules changed.

Worst still, EU migrants can and do send their benefits home.
Unlike most EU members, UK benefits are paid on employment rather than residency basis, meaning under EU rules, UK benefits can be paid outside the UK.
Benefit and child credit totalling £50million a year is paid to 50,000 migrant children living abroad.
In Poland this benefit is just £20 a month, in the UK it is worth £81.20 for the first child.
No wonder they all choose the UK!
Don't blame them,  blame the government for not changing the law to stop this!
