CRL Warranty
« on: February 11, 2017, 05:50:28 pm »
Our new house by Beechcroft Developments has a myriad of significant problems that are taking an age to sort out.  We have a CRL Warranty and I wondered if anyone had experience of their Dispute Resolution Procedure.  I am trying to get a copy but they seem to have a problem finding it!  It is not on their website.

New member so I hope I've sent this through OK

Thanks for any comments

Oh dear!
You are discovering why I always say, "if it isn't an NHBC warranty walk away!"

CRL warranty by BuildSafe is an insurance policy and from what I can see from the website its main purpose is to give cover for developers and builders who cannot get warranty anywhere else - not protection for buyers.

You have to ask why, if it is any good at all, consumers and everyone else cannot access the policy documents online.

Having looked at Beechcroft's website "About us > Customer Service"  it states:
Quote
"Beechcroft homes are constructed to the highest standards and come with a 10-year structural warranty from the National House Building Council"
So perhaps you have been mis-sold?

Surprising that a retirement developer would have so many issues.
Apart from the poor value and excessive management charges that is.
