I have bought a new built apartment via shared ownership scheme and moved in almost two months ago. There is a long list of snagging issues however most of them developer doesn't accept as snagging, e.g big scratches on the doors, too thick door chain which leaves scratches on the wall, chips, scratches, bits peeling off on kitchen cabinets. Just wondering what counts as snagging and if there is any way to demand developer to fix this?
Also, who is responsible for the appliances which came with the flat? I was told I have to contact manufacturer directly in case there are any issues. For example there are scratches on the hob, uneven support grid but manufacturer says these are cosmetic issues and they aren't responsible for this. Also the fridge isn't working properly but manufacturer is taking a lot of time to get this fixed - it has been almost 4 weeks! If I have bought these items myself I would have the right to return them and ask for a refund but since they were purchased by developer it seems I can't do anything. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks!
