Hi All,
Found this forum through researching. I am yet to exchange on a Halsbury Homes new build.
We've visited the property once so far and didn't pay a huge amount of attention to the outside, as we were tight on time being able to view the property.
I found through researching for a good company offering new build inspections (snagging list) I found some examples which showed patchy brickwork. This led me to take a closer look at the property we've put a reservation deposit on and found this may also be a problem, so asking here for people's opinions on what are options are.
We've yet to exchange and probably due to by end of the month. We are using one of their recommended solicitors (chose one of two, they are being paid £100 for the referral as it's stated in the paperwork).
I'm conscious I can see brick variations on multiple sides of the property and unsure as this stage what we can say to the developer, if we should exchange first before doing so.
Completion is due Oct/Nov this year.
First time buyers so please keep in mind I'm not experienced in this in any way, thanks
