We are coming to the end of our 2 year warranty with Crest Nicholson and on the whole they've been pretty good with the snags, but one they are claiming is not a snag is when a joist (or big screw) has not been put in deep enough and has been covered by plaster (so you see a blob), however one of the blobs has come away to reveal the joist. Surely this is not acceptable? (I have found 8 in total, around the property, Crest say unless there are 4 in a row it is not a snag!)

This would be a nail pop, which would only be classed as a build defect if more than four in one row.
