Regarding the valley, the tiles should be cut back about 50mm away from the central protruding part.
This depend on the pitch of the roof and the roof area being drained by the valley. (See Page 22 in the link)
Regarding the verges, I haven't a clue what is going on there!
What is clear is that during any wind at all it will get in under the "ripples" and this "dry verge" will be torn off. The dry verges should be flat and match the tiles. (see pages 10 to 12 in the link)
Water dripping is almost certainly either a dripping overflow or a leaking gutter.
However, it could be from the bottom of the gable (barge board or verge) as the rain gathers and then drips off the end. If it is the latter, nothing can be done.
