Hi All,
I was fixing my guttering other day when i noticed something odd at the top of the down pipe, there appears to be mortar separating from the bricks and cracking also, upon closer inspection out the bedroom window with a selfie stick, it seems to be fairly shoddy brickwork in my unqualified opinion,i tried NHBC and was quickly dismissed - they did however say that if i get a local specialist to look at it and they disagree with NHBC's stance (basically they say the problem doesn't qualify under section three as there is no physical damage to the home and it is unlikley to meet the minimum claim value of £1472.00) they may look at it again, the house is 6 years old now so i wouldn't of thought Persimmon will be interested,do i have any comeback here? The problem is more on my neighbours side (mine is the to the right of downpipe) although it looks like its on my plot boundary looking at my deeds.
Any advice help appreciated.
