Households with Mortgages falling
« on: June 02, 2011, 09:49:59 am »
In 2001 around 41% of households had a mortgage.
That figure is currently 35% and is likely to continue to fall as those with mortgages pay off their loans and the number of new loans fails to keep pace.
The home loan market will shift towards buy-to-let mortgages as investors provide the housing stock for the rental market.
