Apparently the APPG Inquiry report we have all been waiting for (for what seems like an eternity) had a launch on the Houses of Parliament terrace yesterday at 4pm.
Invitations we sent out by e mail on 28 April which said:
"On behalf of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Excellence in the Built Environment, I would like to thank you for your evidence session which have provided an invaluable contribution into the Quality of New House Building in UK. The group and the Joint Contract Tribunal are delighted to announce the official launch of the report which will be hosted by Oliver Colvile MP, chairman of the group and will take place on
Tuesday 17 May 2016-05-18
Between 4.00-6.00 pm
At the Terrace,
Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London
SW1A 0AA
We hope you will be able to accept our invitation. In order to register your interest to attend, please reply to this e mail by Friday, 6 May the latest.
More details will follow closer to the date.
Meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance."
(Please note the above is reproduced
exactly as originally written!)
Unfortunately (or fortunately if it was postponed) I did not receive the e mail thanking me for my presentation and the invitation to attend the Report launch yesterday, if indeed it took place at all!
There is no trace of the report anywhere on the CIC.org website or in the media at the time of posting.
At least one person who was invited but did not attend, has confirmed that no further e mail was sent notifying any postponement or cancellation.
We have to ask the question, was the launch cancelled, if so why.
If the launch did take place, why has the report not been published the public domain?
