Just wanted to say hello and thanks for this forum!
I’ve started the process of buying a new build and  paid a small deposit in November 2021 for an early-bird reservation with the plot release planned for April 2022.

I’m a bit nervous as I’ve never bought a new build before but I’ve found a lot of good information on here already  :)

Please read all the advice on the main website as well.
Also check the experiences of others with your housebuilder on here and on Facebook groups too.
Do not think "it wont happen to me" because it probably could and would.

Finally, make sure you housebuilder is registered with the New Homes Quality Board before you legally complete. In fact make this a condition of the purchase.  Then they will be bound to meet requirements of the NHQB Code of Practice and you will be able to take any complaint for Code breaches to the New Homes Ombudsman Services when it becomes operational later in 2022.
