I found this forum searching for help on flooring issues I am working on.
I am a Building Surveyor specialising in build defects during DLP (defects liability period) and also "Latent" defects. I am involved in claims with builders ranging from £100s - £100,000s.
I work with single homeowners, residents groups, housing associations and private landlords.
I have been in the Construction industry over 30 years and am a member of the Chartered industry of Building and the Institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate of Great Britain.
I am hoping I can give (and receive) some advice on construction defects, get an insight as to what goes wrong and hopefully learn how to resolve some issues. I also attend design meetings to advise on what designs and materials do and don't work so this forum should help me with that.
