Title: Investigating temperatures
Post by: gloria on August 22, 2017, 02:37:27 pm
Good afternoon,

I was wondering if people here have any advice on how to investigate changes in temperature and where that comes from. Ever since we have moved into out new house, I suspected that something here is letting the heat out. During these few warm months, I haven't really noticed it but some mornings, it is really cold and I'm not sure what's causing it.

The windows are closing quite shut and our walls are thick. My friend has now advised me to get one of those thermal analysis tools but I would prefer a simpler and cheaper method, if possible. So if anyone has any advice, please come forward. I'm afraid that I'll be throwing out my money for heating once winter arrives.

You should get a thermal imaging camera.
Better still a professional thermal imaging survey from  Paul Buckingham (https://www.sustainablelifestyles.co.uk/)

(always assuming you are a genuine new home buyer and not a link spammer!)
