1:5 chance of living to 100

(1/1)

BobTB:
Data suggest that anyone alive today has a one in five (that's a 20%) chance of seeing their 100th birthday.

On the downside at least one in four people (25%) will require long term care in a nursing/care home
on average currently costing £26,500 a year.

Philofacts:
Let's face it living to 100 but spending the last 20 years in a Worthing nursing home isnt that great!

DavidBrown:
My gran died at 97, she was talking walking and a bit deaf in one ear.
It's a hard thing to think about, do you trust the state to look after you in old age or do you trust your children or your children's children? Think quick!
