Should we be pursuing legal matters due to holes in concrete floors?

Our flooring company found two holes in our concrete floors in our kitchen, which had been filled in with expanding foam. These lead down to what I can only assume is the foundations.

Our toilet has a hollow sound when knocking on the screed also, which looks like the polystyrene insulation has been directly screeded over.

The screed itself is also very poor it’s like chalk to walk on, and is peeling up in places as well as not being level.

The developers have admitted its not right and expect a full rebuild beneath the toilet itself, and whatever needs to be done in the kitchen. Should we be looking to push and legal challenges to our developers, or in the least looking for some sort of compensation for the disruption this will inevitable cause?

What you have is a latex self-levelling compound spread over a badly finished,  either screeded floor or power floated concrete.
I cannot comment on what is below this as it cannot be seen. It should be a solid concrete floor or beam and block.
Obviously it may not be continuous.

As for compensation, let them fix it first you wont be able to have tow bites at a pay-off.
