Title: Neighbours security floodlights are causing a problem
Post by: Greenfinger on June 27, 2011, 10:39:08 am
My neighbour has fitted very bright security floodlights to his property on three sides and the light shines through my windows.
The lights come on every night by a timer even when their house is empty.
He refuses to do anything saying that this is a security "benefit" for my home too!

Floodlights should not be pointed in the direction of any neighbouring homes.
Your local authority's environmental health department can fine your neighbour under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 if it continues.

I quoted the Act to him and he has now moved and angled them so they are not so much of a nuisance now.
Thanks Prophet.
