Title: What should be in a cavity wall?
Post by: Bri on October 01, 2020, 06:39:33 pm: My cavity wall has 2 types of insulation. The regular loft insulation in the front of the house and sheets of plastic type boards in other parts. One part right at the top of the house where a part brick has came out there is no insulation at all and a big fat plastic pipe that is not attached to anything.
The brick has fell apart when my render was removed leaving a hole. The brick was only half the thickness of the surrounding blocks.

Post by: Bri on October 26, 2020, 11:02:48 am: The pipe is located at the top corner of my house, 30 plus ft high. I can`t see any cables, no gas up there. It looks like a drainage pipe but no bathrooms or water supply on that side of the house.
