New build - bricks colour faded
« on: August 30, 2020, 05:33:11 pm »
I am about to purchase a 4-year old new build and have noticed a large portion of the bricks are discoloured/faded. Please see the picture.

Should I at all be worried all? Is this normal? How can this be fixed?

Any thoughts, would be much appreciated.

The bricks could be tinted but I wouldn't buy a house that looks like that, new or second-hand.
I doubt the bricks are face damaged (spalling) so it is cosmetic, but indicative of a housebuilder that didn't care about quality.
