Title: DPC
Post by: Leebobbycastle on September 21, 2020, 08:42:24 pm
I'm new to this forum.
I have lived in a new build for two years and wondered how would I know if my house has a double dpc as that's what someone has told me. I can see one layer of dpc outside and just above it weep holes and also some airbricks it is a block and brick construction.
I think they might be making it all up to get round the fact my patio was installed at the back down ground level and above the dpc many thanks for any advice.

No finished ground level should be above the external dpc.

As for double dpc, I assume they are talking about the dpc to the brick and the other internal dpc to the block wall inner skin.
Or they may be talking about a cavity tray.  But it seems most likely they don't know what they are talking about!
