The property was £800,000 and suffers from terrible creaking/squeaking chipboard floorboards.
We moved in around 8 months ago and while developer promised to fix the issue they are saying they want to finish remaining 6 houses first.
The floorboards are driving us insane... just listen to this:
Is there anything we can do... or do we just have to be patient? How easy would it be to fix the floorboards?

To be honest I have the same issue, albeit we do not live in a newbuild. We purchased our house around six years ago, which is a renovated coach house. All of the floorboards upstairs have very bad creaking, in both winter and summer. Unfortunately we didn't notice this when viewing the premises for some reason.
We are looking at replacing the carpets shortly and are hoping to cure the issue at the same time. We will however be left with the issue in our bathroom which has a tiled floor, which we will renovate next year.
If you could let me know how they cure the issue, it would be very much appreciated.

There are many reasons why floors creak in new homes.
As for waiting until the remaining six houses are finished, why do you think they said that?
I suspect it was so they will then not be around and have to deal with the issue and you will be in the hands of whatever customer care they have, which on completed sites is nearly always useless.
If you want it sorted out, make a big fuss now!
No reason why YOU should be forced to wait to suit the housebuilder.
