Title: Crack and loose brickwork
Post by: DisgruntledBuyer on July 09, 2022, 05:43:48 am
Hi I’ve recently moved into a new home and have noticed cracking and what appears to be loose brickwork.
The builder is looking to rectify this next week however I’m unsure if I should let them proceed without first seeking advise on the reason for the issue. I’ve attached a couple of images and would appreciate any feedback.

It could have been caused by lots of reasons.
My guess is it was hit by something during construction.
Most likely the forklift hit the scaffold and it in turn did the damage.

This opinion, assumes it is only in one place and on one flank.

Let them fix it. Take before and after photos.
If it re occurs, you have a serious issue and should inform your warranty priovider straightaway.

Thanks for the info… it’s now repaired and being monitored.
