Advice needed on gabion walls / foundations

I'm hoping you folks can help.
We've just moved into a new house (about a month) and were initially impressed with the appearance of a gabion wall used to create a level garden for our new home which is built on a relatively steep slope (the first floor is at ground level at the rear, ground floor is ground level at the front). However, I've taken some time to look at the gabions and they don't look quite so good any more, and are starting to bulge after only this very short amount of time.
We are thinking we should get a 3rd party to take a look, but not sure where to start, or if we are worrying unnecessarily.

Hopefully you folks will just say "looks okay mate, nothing to worry about there!"

You need to get an independent structural engineer to look at this.

I don't believe its been designed to retain that much.
And it looks like it hasn't been properly constructed either.
Write to your housebuilder and report it two.
I doubt the warranty company will cover this as its a garden.

Who is the housebuilder?
