Title: Persimmon Directors - Do they care?
Post by: Banjo on June 02, 2011, 10:12:02 am
A mate of mine who was a Site Manager for Persimmon homes told me that he once had a visit from three Persimmon's main board directors to his site in Eastbourne in 2003.

They wanted to look at the show flat and whilst the Site Manager and and his assistant were removing their own muddy boots, all three directors, John White, Mike Farley and Jeff Fairburn, just walked straight in without removing their footwear, leaving mud and stains all over the light-coloured show flat carpets - which later required steam cleaning.

Directors - they are all the same -  only interested in the bottom line, achieving their targets and getting their bonuses imo

Persimmon CEO Jeff Fairburn gets paid around £2million a year.
To put this in perspective, that equates to around 45 times what Persimmon pays their site managers actually building people's homes!

It is all about money!

You only have to look at the financial reports the large builders release each year.
It is all about money, numbers and profit.
No house builders report the level of complaints or the amount of money they are spending putting right the homes that have been badly built.
