LABC Warranty

--- Quote ---11. Excess.
As noted on the Initial Certificate and Certificate of Insurance the Underwriter shall not be liable for the first part of any payment made in respect of a valid claim under the Policy for a Housing Unit.
A separate Excess shall apply to each separately identifiable cause of loss or damage for which a payment is made under the Policy by the Underwriter, regardless of whether more than one cause of loss is notified at the same time.

Premier Guarantee Warranty

--- Quote ---12. Excess
As noted on the Initial Certificate and Certificate of Insurance the Underwriter shall not be liable for the first part of any payment made in respect of a valid claim under the Policy for a Housing Unit.

Not just similar but identical.

NHBC Buildmark Warranty
At least the NHBC uses a minimum claim value rather than a policy excess. Meaning if the cost of a buyers warranty claim exceeds the minimum claim value the NHBC will do the work or pay the cost in full and the property owner will not have to make any contribution.
But if the cost of a claim is below the minimum claim value the NHBC will not do any work or pay any costs.

The amount of the NHBC Buildmark minimum claim value will depend on when your home was built.
