The Most Expensive Home In Britain
« on: August 20, 2011, 10:17:08 am »
The UK's most expensive home has been sold to an unidentified buyer for around £140m.
Once the home of the eldest son of George II Park Place, in Henley-on-Thames Oxfordshire is a 300-year-old Grade II listed country house set in hundreds of acres of land.
The house comes with it's own heli-pad, home cinema and spa complex.
The record sale includes around 200 acres of the Grade II registered parkland, listed monuments, houses, cottages, stables and a boathouse.

The previous owner Mr Spink bought the estate for around £40 million in 2007, the highest price paid for a home outside London at the time.
Since then he has spent around £100million on reconstruction and restoration.
He is developing a second 300-acre area of the estate, which was not included in the sale.
