Whilst the London property market has been helped by demand from rich overseas buyers in the rest of the UK residential property market remains stagnant at best.
In the new-build sector, house builders have reported strong site visits and more reservations.
This should be viewed as a market weakness, with large numbers of buyers remaining dependent on artificial incentives to enable them to buy a home.
New homes have these with 'NewBuy' for example, but they are not available for the rest of the market.
