« on: June 08, 2011, 07:52:43 am »
The latest Halifax house price report shows that the value of the average house rose by 0.1% from April to May to £160,519.

But prices are now 4.2% LOWER than the same period last year - the biggest annual drop since October 2009.

It will gte worse before it gets better.
At least be grateful you didnt buy a home in the US.
There they forecast that seven million properties will be bank re sales or short sold in the next few months.
US house prices are now at 2002 levels and are forecasted to go down another 20-30% before they hit bottom there.
