Post by: The Prophet on February 29, 2012, 09:06:14 am
Since the last peak in 2007, Halifax figures show house prices are still lower in almost every part of England, Scotland and Wales.

The percentage change of the six best and six worst performing local authority regions in the period 2007 – 2011:
Best performers:
Rochford                            1%
South Lakeland                    0%
Islington                           -1%
Spelthorne                        -2%
Windsor and Maidenhead      -3%
Worthing                           -3%

Worst performers:
Bromsgrove                        -34%
Northumberland                  -33%
Wrexham                           -32%
Neath Port Talbot               -31%
Pendle                              -31%
South Staffordshire             -30%
