This is on tonight on Channel 4 at 8pm and should be interesting.
This programe is going to look at the effect buildings have on the people that live in and use them.
Tonight it looks into the British home and asks why we have the smallest average room size in Europe.
Perhaps the house builders should watch this!

This was a really interesting programme.
I never realised that living in a newly built home could actually make you ill.
I wonder how many of the major house builders had directors watching it and whether they will take on board
how much the bad design of new homes affects people's health.
I expect it will be business as usual for as long as people keep buying the tiny little dark, cramped, badly designed little boxes on overlooked estates.

The programme highlighted quite a few issues I am sure the UK new home buyer would be unaware of.

For years house builders have not fitted doors in show homes to make them look brighter and larger than they are.
It is also common practice for show homes to be fitted out with undersize furnture, especially sofas, chairs, tables and beds to make the small rooms
in new homes look larger than they are.
