I have been new build snagging for many years now and baffled to how many people are not advised to get an independent to check their new purchase.

This is not in the interest of the developer but some are coming round to that way of thinking now.
I do know of some I have had discussions with recently, to offer clients this option for them to pay for but certainly shows things may be heading in the right direction here!
I do get work from conveyancers but this could be a general thing offered out and an invaluable service?

I made the suggestion of a mandatory independent snagging inspection prior to legal completion at the APPG EBE Inquiry into the quality of new homes in England in November 2015 .

It would be a damning indictment of the industry is plc housebuilders needed to employ external snagging inspectors to do the work the site managers up and down the country could and should be doing! A builder's snagging inspector, would also not necessarily be trusted by most new homebuyers.
