Heating wars as couples have "thermo-spats" over heating settings
A new study revealed what we already know, that couples argue over whether the heating should be turned up. In a survey of 2000 people carried out by price comparison website uSwitch.com, 52% of couples admitted to arguing about the temperature of their homes.
In the “thermo-spats” tensions rise and temperatures fall as we get nearer to what is expected to be the coldest winter for 50 years. Around 79% of women admit to going behind their partner’s back to turn on the thermostat, while just 23% of men admit to this.
Could this have more to do with who actually pays for the heating bill? Perhaps that is a question should have been asked in the survey!
