New guidance for housebuilders on correct installation of roof spandrel panels (https://goo.gl/PJSL1u)
The Trussed Rafter Association [TRA] has issued new roofing guidance (http://www.tra.org.uk/media/uploads/files/590741a089272.pdf) for housebuilders aimed at preventing poor spandrel panel installation/construction using evidence based, best practice. But will they take any notice of it?
Spandrel panels are a quick and easy method of construction that reduce the amount of time spent working at height. A recent survey from the NHBC indicated that 17% of 8,000 new builds questioned were already using spandrel panels.
