Water companies reject Ofwat's price rise changes
« on: November 26, 2012, 08:24:10 am »
Only a few water companies have accepted proposals by water regulator Ofwat, to change the way that water price rises are determined.

Under the current system, water price increases are pegged to inflation with any increases above inflation regulated by Ofwat.
Ofwat wants to break the link with inflation.
Water companies had until 23rd November 2012 to accept the proposals, raising the likelihood that those refusing would be referred to the Competition Commission.

The regulators never seem to be able to help the domestic consumer.
This change in pricing is only for business users!
