Buying/building first home - need expirience/advice
« on: November 11, 2020, 08:50:16 am »
My girlfriend and I are thinking of buying a cheap old house and reconstructing it or building a new one from the beginning.
The second option requires to buy a plot of land first and might be way more expensive, not sure though. What do you think?

However, i will be going to need for sure someone that knows what they are doing. A friend recently found Paris Construction. Anyone had any experience with them?
Are they a cheap option, are they what they say they are?
Anyone talks good about themselves and I can't be sure. If you have any other recommendations/opinions/advice, feel free to share them..

Best regards : ))

My advice is stick to a second-hand house and carry out renovations. It will work out cheaper and you should get a fully strauctural survey which will highlight what needs doing before you buy and you can make an offr based on this.

Regarding building your own home, it will be a minefield for you.  You will get caught and have lots of issues.
Looking for the cheapest  is not a very great place to start either so I can see you will get seen off at some point.
Don't do it. If you want a new home buy one on a local development you like!

Alternatively you could build a new house on a self build site with others.
Ask your local council if they have any land coming up.
