Centrica claim consumers will pay more for green energy
« on: June 27, 2011, 11:29:40 am »
In a poll by Centrica, owners of British Gas, they claim that consumers are prepared to pay £100 extra each year to "go green".
In a few years consumers will be paying an average annual bill of £2000 and 30% of this will be to subsidise green initiatives.

In another report, it is claimed that homeowners could be asked to pay for new gas power stations that will normally be on stand-by as back-ups, as the wind farms generation cannot be relied on.
