Title: Cavity Wall Insulation for a Guildway Bungalow

According to my plans there is a 30mm gap between the brick walls and the membrane protecting the wooden frame of my Guildway bungalow.
Is it safe to fill this gap with cavity wall insulation and, if so, what type and what precaution would you recommend?
Would be most grateful for your advice.

Easy answer this one  NO!
Your timber frame home will (should) have at least 100mm thick insulation between the studs of the external timber frame walls. 
You should not even need to insulate the cavity.
 
The brickwork is a cladding that gives strength and stability to the structure and most importantly protects the timber frame from the weather and damp.
In addition, the cavity (it should be 50mm by the way) is necessary to ventilate the timber frame otherwise rot could set in.
 
Whatever you do - dont fill a cavity on a timber frame home!
