On visiting a Linden Homes development in Chichester last week, I was amazed that the price of a "one bedroon apartment" was £185,000.
Basically for that you got a bedroom, bathroom and an open room containing a kitchen, dining, and lounge areas.
What used to be called a "Studio"
The central heating boiler was located in a cupboard next the the wardrobe in the bedroom.
When I asked about noise from it I was told by the sales person that it was "very quiet and was actually on at this moment"
It wasn't, the system was on but the boiler wasn't fired up.
the boiler location is also questionable from a safety point of view, bearing in mind air supply (even with a balanced flue) for the boiler and no ventilation in this cupboard either.
If you wanted to 'trade up' you could get a small:
2 bedroom flat for £270,000
2 bedroom end terrace townhouse for £360,000
3 bedroom mid terrace townhouse for £470,000
3 bedroom end of terrace townhouse for £480,000
But hurry the Price List was only valid for seven days and you are required to make an appointment to view the show homes!
Not they should expect a rush at those prices!
