In these so called difficult financial times, a time of cuts, a time of restraint and austerity, was it really worth a staggering £10.5million to stage the Thames Jubilee pageant last weekend?
Around 1.2 million people watched the 1,066 strong procession.
That works out at £8.75 per person.
Hardly great value.
At least it was paid for by 'private donations' and not taxpayer's money!
