Phil Spencer - Secret Agent
« on: October 14, 2011, 08:46:14 am »
Has anyone seen this new TV programme on Channel 4 at 11am weekdays?  You will probably need to record it.

Basically, Phil Spencer tells people who have been trying to sell their homes for several months what they need to do to get that sale.
The programme I watched showed a 3 (2) bedroom flat in Balham that was dirty, untidy with a totally overgrown garden.
The windows had never even been cleaned.
They wanted £349,000 for it and they didn't know why it wasn't selling!  Not only that but there was only 75 years left on the lease.
What is the Estate Agents doing?  Don't they give advice?

Talk about stating the obvious!  The really annoying thing were the frequent updates about what is "coming up" and the "catch-ups" before and after each ad break.  There were even some during the programme. Why not just make it 30 minutes long Phil and leave out all the padding?
I wont be watching it again!

I do find it hilarious when a vendor who's trying to sell an asset worth hundreds of thousands of pounds will take photos of the rooms with dirty clothes everywhere!

As I siad, you would think that the Estate Agent would say something and give advice to vendors rather than try and sell something not presented as well as it could be.

I also think there should be a complete outlaw on the use of wide angled lenses when taking photos of a property for sale!

Nothing frustrates me more!

At the end of the day if you are looking you need to go to the houses anyway and view them.
The photos cant mask the room size dimensions on the details, but I can understand how frustrating it can be.
