That's a very interesting idea! Although id suggest it's for property investors. Since buying a home is such a massive investment, there's probably a reason they don't show up too often on ebay!

Still, very intriguing.

There is no substitute for going and seeing a property. 
Even if it is being sold via an auction, you should still get a full survey.
