Title: Bellway homes report strong sales

Improved consumer confidence is believed to have helped boost sales reports house builder Bellway Homes.
The group has achieved sales averaging 111 new homes per week between February and May, a 9% increase over the same period last year.

The average selling price also rose 4% to £182,000 due in part to higher value new homes being sold in and around the London area.
Bellway said "current market conditions leave the company well-positioned for growth"

One minute they are all bleating on that the lenders  need to help first-time buyers to gett he market going.
